Born in a small country town in Australia, Alaina's foundation and passion for food began back in her grandmother's kitchen. At 23, she left Australia for London, and for the next 8 years worked for DKNY and Donna Karan

In 2004, Alaina's clear sense of style and head for business lead her to the exclusive and well renowned, Rhubarb Food Design where she would spend the next 4 years working as Design Manager alongside the Founder/Creative Director Lucy Gemmell, her friend, mentor and "the best in the catering business… point blank!". 

It was with Rhubarb where she found her niche, styling and designing new and “out of this world” solutions for creative ways to serve food for some of the most high profile events and clients in the world. Alaina travelled regularly throughout Europe to trade shows seeking out the best suppliers and most inspirational tableware and hire pieces. 

In 2007, Alaina moved to Italy, she continued to work with Rhubarb as both Food Designer and Product Consultant for their growing retail & dining outlets.  In 2008,  Alaina returned home to Australia to work for GUCCI managing their flagship store in Sydney.

She now works for Bienalto, but remains active and committed to keeping abreast of international trends in food, product styling and consulting for private events.
